This week has been a bit hectic for me with work and school so i have not been able to go over the features and create a proper blog post for you guys yet.

In the meantime welcome to the new group and if you have tips on running groups or wanna be an admin please note me

Hey deviantTRINIs,

It's been over 8 months since there was any activity on here from us admins and even longer from me personally. I'd like to apologise to all you new folks who have tried to join and to everyone who wanted to keep the club active for my absence. And a big thanks to the deviants who've helped out as admins (~LostKorean ~aritra ~stocklvr =Magaman).

deviantART is launching a new feature called Groups, which you can read about here [link] or #hq if you don't already know about it. I'm planning on converting this page to a Group but I would like to get some feedback from our members before this happens.

What do you want to see happening here after the conversion?

Have you heard the News?

Olympic Gold
We know that it's a bit late but when is a Trini ever on time? For the rest of this month and into the next, we're calling for Olympic themed submissions in honor of well...the Olympics. We are accepting all submissions whether you wish to tribute what medals T&T has won, your favourite athlete or favourite sport.

And who knows? If we have enough submissions we might just feel generous enough to give out some prizes to the best of them.

Calling all Poets
We do not get very many submissions of poetry to the club but we know there are a few writers among us. We think you may find something of interest at POETS SOCIETY OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO. There a some links to other online resources for writers and of course there's an ongoing competition which you only have 15 more days to enter.

Their main goal is to promote poetry and poets in Trinidad and Tobago so of course we wish them well in their efforts to advance the local arts community and hope that our dA writers will feel equal to adding their own support.

Meet and Greet
=DA-Networking is a club with a very serious mandate which is to promote networking AND to share resources via volunteer members. They are currently having a 'Membership Drive' so we've decided to encourage our members to go check them out. (Otherwise what's the use of being affiliates right?)

Check out their existing tutorials and other resources currently featured on their front page and see if you think you can be of service. If not at least tell a friend about the club if you believe in what they are trying to do. Here's their about page where you can also find out how to join.

~Apanaki has a site that will be launching in September and wants some Trini smileys. The site is targeted to our people and she wants to add our own flavour to the chat rooms. So come on people, let your soul glo! Send her something!
